WhatsApp “Kept messages” feature.
WhatsApp Messenger is testing a new feature called “Kept messages” which will let users keep specific messages from disappearing from a chat with disappearing mode turned on.
According to WhatsApp, this feature will work as mentioned below,
- Keep messages you want to refer back to by tapping the bookmark icon.
- Anyone can keep messages in the chat, but you have the final say if your messages are kept or not.
- Kept messages will not disappear from the chat. and everyone can see them.
And all the Kept messages can be viewed from the chat information menu and this feature will work on both group and private chats.
When will I get the “Kept messages” feature for WhatsApp?
This feature is currently in the beta testing phase and WhatsApp will soon release this feature to everyone.
WhatsApp increasing the attachable media limit to 100.
WhatsApp testing the ability to attach 100 media files (photos/videos) in a single time on Android. Previously the limit was 30 files.
When will I get the ability to attach an increased attachable media limit in WhatsApp?
This feature is currently in the beta testing phase and WhatsApp will soon release this feature to everyone. Meanwhile, you can select 30 files at once.
WhatsApp added some new Avatar stickers.
WhatsApp added some new Avatar stickers to the sticker pack and also refreshed the look of Avatars.
When will I get the newly added Avatar stickers in WhatsApp?
These stickers are currently available to everyone and if you still not seeing this make sure to update to the latest version of WhatsApp and also check whether you have created an Avatar or not.
“Call links” are now available on WhatsApp desktop.
WhatsApp for Windows (UWP) got a “Call link” feature to let users start video and voice calls by sharing links.
This feature can be located under the calls tab of WhatsApp for Windows. Along with this WhatsApp UWP got a new attachment menu called “Photos or Videos” which does exactly what it says.
When will I get “Call Links” for WhatsApp Desktop?
This feature is widely rolling out and if you cannot see this feature try checking for an update in your Microsoft store and get the latest version.
