WhatsApp testing the ability to control online status.

WhatsApp is finally testing the ability to control your online status with new privacy settings called “Last seen and online” (Previously, Last seen). Which has been teased by Zuckerberg in his post as well as on WhatsApp in Twitter as well.

This new feature will let you control who can see when you are online with two new toggles.

• Everyone – where all WhatsApp users can see when you’re online.
• Same as last seen – which will follow the same settings of last seen.

There is a catch on this that as with every other privacy feature in WhatsApp if you choose to hide your last seen and online you won’t be able to see other people’s last seen and online as well.
