Video playback speed controls in WhatsApp

WhatsApp testing a new video playing experience with a new button to control playback speed. Users can tap on the button and change the playback speed between 1x, 1.5x and 2x.

Inbuilt dialer in WhatsApp

WhatsApp testing an inbuilt number dialer which will let users call a number without saving.

Redesigned chat wallpaper controls

WhatsApp testing a redesigned control for chat wallpapers where user can adjust the brightness and the rest.

WhatsApp also added some new chat wallpapers.

Add a message while forwarding text message

WhatsApp testing a new “Add a message” text box while forwarding text messages. Previously a similar text/caption box used to appear only while forwarding messages with attachment/media only.

Floating voice chat button

WhatsApp rolled out a new floating voice chat button for all groups. Only the button is new not the feature.

WhatsApp will stop working on your iPhone 6 or older

From of May 2025 WhatsApp is going to stop working on iPhone that is running older versions then iOS 15.1.

Means iPhone devices like iPhone 6, iPhone 5s and older models will no longer receive WhatsApp updates.
