Managing unread messages in WhatsApp getting better
With these two new features WhatsApp made it easier to manage unread emails:
- Read all: A menu option to let users mark all the unread messages as read
- Control home screen badges: New notification setting that will let users choose whether to show the number of unread messages until they marked as read or not

WhatsApp testing channel insights for admins where they can see analytics about how their channels performs through various matrices.
Block unknown accounts if they send a lot messages
WhatsApp added a new advanced privacy feature to “Block unknown accounts messages” this will block messages from unknown accounts it it exceeds a certain volume.
If you turn on Block unknown account messages, this won’t block all unknown messages only the ones who exceed the limit will be blocked.

View status updates of your status viewers
WhatsApp started showing green rings around the story viewers to indicate they also posted a story recently.
This is quite similar to Instagram.
