Instagram lets you discover nearby places with a map.
Instagram will now let users find and filter places with a similar feature to the Snapchat map.
Instagram lets users filter by categories like cafes or beauty salons. and there are to access the map user can search a city or hashtags in Explore else they can tab on the location tags from stories or feeds.
All videos under 15 minutes are now reels on Instagram
Instagram said that new video posts shorter than 15 minutes will be shared as reels yet the old videos remain as videos. According to Instagram, this change is meant to create a higher reach for content across the platform.
And It’s also announced a bunch of new reels remix features.
60 seconds story feature on Instagram is rolling out widely.
Instagram also rolling out the ability to post 60 seconds longer videos to many users across the globe. (Including Sri Lanka).
This means no more segmented stories on Instagram.
Instagram is widely rolling out the new “Links” menu for profiles.
Instagram is widely rolling out the new “Links” menu for profiles with the ability to add Facebook communities.
Now you can put various links and Facebook community links under your profile bio.
Facebook Changes
Facebook announced new “Feed Tab”
Facebook launched new update for Feeds tab where you can see posts from your friends, groups, Pages and more separately in chronological order.
Feeds tab will give you a way to customize and control your experience further.
WhatsApp Changes
WhatsApp announced the ability to transfer your entire chat history from Android to iOS and vice versa.

YouTube Changes
YouTube is testing a new rounded buttons layout for videos.
YouTube Android is testing a new rounded button and playback layout.
Seems the buttons are now matching more with the rest of the YouTube chips and interface.
YouTube channels can not hide subscriber count anymore
YouTube channels will no longer be able to hide their subscriber count. Starting from 29 July 2022.
Google Workspace Changes
Google Meet got Polls
Finally, Google Meet got Polls participants to ask questions or respond anonymously.
Anonymous polls will be OFF by default and can be turned on by hosts and co-hosts when sharing a poll.
Now you can live stream Google Meet events via YouTube
Google Workspace users can live stream meetings publicly via YouTube.
Can initiate a live stream in Meet by navigating to Activities panel > Live Streaming and selecting your channel from the list according to Google.
Google Chat emoji picker got the new “Frequently Used” section.
Google Chat spaces are dramatically increased in size and now you can delete spaces as well.
Google increased the number of members you can add to a space in Google Chat from 400 to 8,000.
And now the delete space feature is available generally.
With this capability, a space manager can delete a space, which completely removes all owned contents of the space, space tasks, and files and attachments not saved elsewhere. In addition, members will no longer be able to access the space, its files, space tasks, or the member list after the space has been deleted according to Google.
